 Let's face it selling online is hard work and it's very easy to get burned out when there's no one else telling you want to stop. I decided to take a break from selling on all platforms except for Amazon fba .

I linked up with and longtime friend who just happen to be passing through Pittsburgh and now we are in Missouri and it's time to go set trotlines try to catch some catfish.

Before any of that happens we need to head out to a local spillway to catch some live bait . 

Corey made throwing a throw net look easy but I can tell you it takes some practice. On my first try ended up catching up Asian carp while my Corey who did most of the work caught a gar, lots of crappies which had to be released and a rock that I had to go swimming for.

The main bait we are looking for is Shad which is an oily fish that needs to go directly on ice to preserve the oils catfish love so much.

Finally we get enough Shad to hit the river

The river is an usually high which means it should be a great spot to get some catfish.

Taking in the sun, wildlife and sites is a welcome stress reliever.

We got five trotlines with 25 hooks total so we set out to set up Trotlines in hopes of catching some big ones.

Setting trotlines is definitely more dangerous than I expected if you don't have a proficient boat driver you could end up having a hook in your hand very easily and going in the water. But we managed to safely get all of my lines and water and now it's time to wait for the next day

The next day rolls around and it's time to hit them in the water once again. To see if they caught anything

For a while I thought we were going to get skunked until the very last trotline which happen to have two decent size catfish on it.

I have an opportunity to meet up with old friends has been great and has reminded me of how important friendships are

And reinforces my view that money is not everything
